my best friend is a porcupine
he’s quite the prickly sort
and though his needles are two feet long
he is still pretty short.
one day I mistook him
for what might be a chair
too tired to keep standing
I plunked on what was there
my best friend isn’t a porcupine
I can’t stand the prickley lot
for all I did in friendship
Now a cactus butt is what i’ve got!!
